Boston Seaport Engagement Session | Catherine + Nolan

… what TB couples are saying …

We were so lucky to have found Tati!! Like many of her reviews mention, she is a world-class photographer and so much more. Her energy is incredible and she is dedicated to professionalism and delivering the most beautiful photos. She is also super personable and a good person to have on your team during the planning process. Tati even traveled to our venue for our rehearsal so she could meet our wedding party prior to the wedding. She was calling everyone by name by the day of the wedding. My Wife and I are typically not big fans of having our photos taken, but she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Tati is amazing and will help you remember the moments of your special day in the most beautiful way.

Boston Seaport Engagement Session

Hi there,

This Boston Seaport engagement session was such a joy to photograph. This joyful couple laughed and smiled the entire time we were together. One of the things I adore about Catherine and Nolan is they thought they were going to fail in front of the camera. No so! They were amazing. We had such a blast during this Boston Seaport engagement session. Our journey began at The institute of Contemporary Art Museum in Boston and ended with a champagne toast over at Seaport.

A Boston Love Story

Cat and Nolan met in Boston in 2018 and have been together for about four and a half years. Because Nolan is from Iowa and a football fan, he choose a dive bar in Boston that plays Iowa football games on TV (RIP Barracuda Tavern) for their first date. This date was supposed to be for one quick drink. Well, that quick date meeting turned into hours and hours of these two talking and getting to know each other. What emerged was an everlasting love.

One of my favorite things about engagement session and getting to know the TBP couples, is learning of their proposal. Catherine shared their story:

“Nolan is not one for cliches, so he knew that I would have my guard down this past Christmas Eve, considering that's a very cliche day to get engaged! I didn't know this at the time, but both of our parents also got engaged on Christmas Eve. It was a small group of just my parents and sisters for the night, and Nolan had been coordinating with the rest of the family without me knowing on how exactly he could surprise me with a proposal. His plan was to take a bunch of family photos in front of the Christmas tree. First, with all of us, then some of just me and my sisters, and finally just the two of us. I didn't know what was going on at the time, but I could feel Nolan shaking a little bit next to me. He's usually a pretty calm, cool and collected type, so it was little weird. My sisters gave Nolan an opportunity to grab the ring and drop down to one knee. I had no idea this was coming and I really couldn't believe he had actually managed to surprise me.”

Cat and Nolan, you are both a ray of sunshine! Your love for each other is inspiring and this session was perfect! I love how you incorporated a champagne toast into your Boston Seaport engagement session. Your outfits were stunning and fit the occasion and location beautifully. I look forward to celebrating your wedding day with you in May!
