Sometimes the most beautiful photo sessions begin in the most unexpected ways.

I met Rachel and Travis one afternoon while my husband and I were enjoying a drink at Smith & Wollensky in South Beach. From the moment I noticed them, I was drawn to their energy and the undeniable chemistry between them. They were laughing, completely present with each other, and I remember thinking how incredible they would be in front of the camera.

I introduced myself and told them exactly that — that they felt like a couple who would be so much fun to photograph. Not long after, Rachel and I connected, and we began planning their engagement session.

We chose the Miami Design District for their photos, one of my favorite locations in Miami. With its striking architecture, clean lines, and playful streets, it creates such a unique and modern backdrop for an engagement session.

We planned their engagement session for early morning, allowing us to experience the Miami Design District before it filled with people. The quiet streets and soft, diffused light created the perfect setting for something that felt both relaxed and intimate.

Photographing Rachel and Travis felt effortless. They moved with ease between guided moments and natural interaction, bringing a sense of authenticity to every frame. Their connection was undeniable — the kind that makes each moment feel genuine, spontaneous, and deeply felt.

It was impossible not to notice how much Travis adores Rachel. The way he would pull her close, wrap his arms around her, and look at her said everything without a single word. Rachel, in turn, had the sweetest reactions — lighting up, becoming a little shy, and playfully leaning into him whenever he moved closer. It was such a genuine joy to witness.

Throughout the session, I gently guided them through a series of moments — walking through the streets, running hand in hand, holding each other, dancing, laughing, and, of course, stealing a few kisses along the way. Each movement revealed more of who they are together, allowing their personalities and connection to unfold naturally.

A Sesion to Remember

Sessions like this are always such a joy for me. Rachel and Travis brought so much energy, warmth, and love to the experience, and capturing those authentic moments between them felt truly special.

It’s connections like theirs that make what I do so meaningful — the quiet in-between moments, the laughter, and the way they naturally gravitate toward each other. Being able to document that in a place as inspiring as the Miami Design District made this session all the more unforgettable.
