Albums are heirlooms to pass from generations to generations.

In this time of self phones where we snap selfies and save them to the cloud, we often forget to look at memories or even print them, instead we flipping through our phones. Does this sound like you? Don’t worry … you are not alone. Most people do not print their photos anymore and often they are forgotten in the cloud. If you are like me I need visuals to remember moments and experiences.

My photography journey started at an early age where film and prints where the only option as digital was not even born yet. I remember spending endless hours in the dark room perfecting my printing technique going through numerous boxes of paper. I remember touching the wet paper and then touching the dry thick pages. I remember seeing the image appearing in the dark room from numerous subjects I photographed in school. It was such a different experience to look at a moment captured and then presented in paper.

One of my childhood memories from back home in Spain is those moments on Sunday afternoon after a long family gather sitting around the living room with my siblings and parents and looking through all our family albums. We would laugh at each other, how silly we were and how young we looked. These were the most precious moments of my child hood and I will continue passing this tradition to my kids and future generations. This is the best heirloom to give!
